Ashtanga Yoga practitioner and teacher Laruga takes us through the idea behind Vinyasa flow-based classes to understand the fundamentals of this series.
Build Your Foundation
It's our first flow-based class. We are introduced to the idea behind these classes, and today we will focus on opening up to our hips.
Energizing the Hips
We're dedicating today's class to hips as well, revising what we learned yesterday and building further to improve our flow between poses.
Empower the Upper Body
In today's flow-based class, we're focusing on opening up our shoulders and back, which work in unison with each other. Let's get started!
We're going to pick up from the last class and focus our attention on our shoulders and back, going through routines with a better flow in sequence. Let's begin!
The Perfect Spinal Relief
In today's flow-based class, we're focusing on twists, and ways to open our bodies. This will be most useful for our spine, abdomen and body in general.
Twist and Flex
We will continue with body twists for today's flow-based vinyasa class, stretching the nerves and muscles around our spine, legs, hips, and abdomen.
Today's flow-based class will focus on strength. We'll be guided through working on our arms, chest, upper back and core through today's session.
Upper Body Power
Continuing with our strength routines, we're going to pay full attention to all muscle groups, our blood flow, and working on stillness through these exercises.
Stabilize Your Hips
We will continue expanding on the foundation of our flow-based class from the first session, focusing on our hip and torso area, for improved stability and grounding.
We've come so far! In today's session, we're going to be targeting our hips, and other muscle groups around it for a well-built lower body and a strong core.
Toning the Upper Body
It's time to come back to our shoulders and back in today's flow-based class. We're going to stretch and work those muscle groups in our arms and shoulders.
Stretching Back and Shoulders
In this session, we're working on our breathing, and strengthening in our back and shoulders.
Bend and Turn Easily
Today's flow-based class is going to focus on twists. We're going to twist our spine, neck, and stretch many muscles in this session.
Improve Lower Body Flexibility
We continue with our flow-based class by twisting our hips and legs in a series of seated poses.
Perfecting Body Stability
Our last two flow-based classes of the program will focus on strength. We're working our hands, shoulders, feet, legs, and related muscles by stretching them.
We continue strengthening our limbs, crucial in easing us through sequences, and improving the stability in our bodies in this concluding flow-based class.
You've successfully completed the flow-based classes! Bear in mind the importance of repetition, and refer back to classes whenever you feel the need to return to your practice.
